This module provides an integrated overview of the three core project management constraints—scope, time, and cost—often called the triple constraint or iron triangle, and teaches learners how to define and control what the project will deliver, develop and monitor realistic schedules, and estimate, budget, and control project costs. It covers key processes such as scope planning, requirements collection, scope definition, WBS creation, scope validation and control; schedule planning, activity definition and sequencing, duration estimating, schedule development using tools like critical path analysis, and schedule control; and cost planning, estimating, budgeting, and cost control using techniques such as variance analysis and earned value management. The module also emphasizes how changes in one constraint affect the others, and it equips learners with practical skills to use baselines, performance measurement, and integrated change control to keep projects within agreed boundaries and achieve successful delivery.
